Four IV is a nonprofit organization that simply exists to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Four IV participates in and supports multiple events that are hosted by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation such as Great Strides and Pipeline to a Cure.

We also host our own golf tournament called the Fore IV Invitational.

We encourage our supporters to create other events that they can be passionate about while fundraising Four IV.  Whether it’s a bakesale, a tennis tournament, or a full-blown 5k foot race…  We will provide support in any way to help you be a part of a cure Four IV!

IV was born with cystic fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of some 30,000 people in the United States.  A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections.  It also obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

Currently, there is no cure for cystic fibrosis.  Therefore, Four IV was founded to fund-raise in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis.  They fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of the CF Foundation’s support.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a nonprofit donor-supported organization that is dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle.  Their focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and to ultimately find a cure!

The Foundation's drug development success has been recognized by Harvard Business School and by publications such as Forbes, Discover Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal.

Based in Bethesda, Md., the Foundation funds and accredits a national care center network that has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.
